Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will meet the new French Foreign Minister, Michèle Alliot-Marie, on Thursday, 25 November when she pays her first visit to Berlin.

The talks on European issues will focus on joint action by the EU partners to stabilize the euro in the long term. Other issues will include future cooperation in the UN Security Council, France’s forthcoming G20 Presidency, as well as the preparation of the Franco-German Council of Ministers to be held in Freiburg im Breisgau on 10 December.
