We condemn the bomb attack which claimed the lives of 20 people in Bangkok yesterday. Violence and terrorism are never justified, whatever the circumstances. We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the victims' families and wish those who have been injured a rapid recovery. We expect today’s explosion to be investigated quickly. If it proves to have been another attack, such escalation would give further cause for concern.
