The attacks by the Houthis in Yemen on international shipping, most recently last night on the Norwegian-flagged tanker “Strinda”, are completely unacceptable. They are threatening international trade, maritime security, and stability in a region that is already highly vulnerable. We assume that these attacks would not be possible without Iran's long-standing support for the Houthis. The attacks must stop, the hijacked M/V “Galaxy Leader” and its crew must be released immediately, unconditionally and unharmed.
