We condemn in the strongest possible terms the cowardly terrorist attacks at election rallies in the Pakistan provinces Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Our sympathy goes to the families of the victims. We wish all who have been injured a full and speedy recovery.

These heinous acts were attacks on the elections and the democratic process in Pakistan. Terrorism must not be allowed to prevail. We call upon the political actors in Pakistan to do everything possible to ensure peaceful, fair and transparent elections.
